A Country Girl’s Dream Wedding

There really are no words to describe the feeling of “when the Bride Arrives”, and what an arrival it was!!  The lump in my throat and tears in my eyes as I snapped this shot pretty much said it all.  This Park-Like setting on the ranch where Marianne grew up was the perfect location for her and Matt to tie the knot!   On a spectacular summer day & surrounded by family and friends, the beautiful ceremony was immediately followed by a reception of cold lemonade, iced tea and an incredible spread of delicious treats.  The evening reception was under an amazing, massive tent that the Bride’s father constructed.  As the warm evening breezes swept through the tent, guests ate, laughed, and enjoyed some wonderful Swiss traditions by the Bride’s family. 

Matt & Marianne are both musical, so music was an important part of the celebration.  There were musical presentations from many family members, but there was a special surprise that the couple didn’t know about…Matt’s Mom, Karen, (who does NOT play the guitar) learned a song on a guitar and sang it to the couple (with a bit of help from some back-up singers)!!  It was an awesome surprise, and the couple couldn’t believe their eyes…or ears.   When the song was over there was thunderous applause, and I once again, found myself with a lump in my throat and tears in my eyes.  (Sigh)

The happy couple & guests spent the rest of the evening dancing the night away on our Oak Parquay Dance Floor…under the tent…under the stars…
